The water right behind the rock he's sitting on looks kind of jarring. Everything else has this soft smoky look to it and then BAM, crisp sparkly water. It's kind of pulling my eye over into that bottom corner, which really doesn't seem right.

I feel like I'm just being nitpicky but that's really the only thing I see wrong with it.

Everyone in the whole entire world is going to kiss your arse about the fairy idea, so allow me to instead kiss your arse about the lizard's face. It is awesome. I love how disgruntled he looks.

Too fun!

You don't lose the character in the background either. The fog, the stalactites, the tiny little water details... very well done. My only critique is the feather could use some of that beautiful shading love too.
